Superconductivity as Analogy to
Free Space Momentum
By: Thomas Lee Abshier, ND
A charged particle transiting through space is the equivalent of a charge flowing in a superconducting wire. In a wire, its resistance causes the electron to lose kinetic energy to collisions with the electron orbitals of the metallic conductor. In the case of a superconductor, no losses of kinetic energy occur due to collisions, and of course no collisions occur in empty space.
